Good leash manners allow you to take your dog almost anywhere
Walking (checking the pack's territory) is what
cements the bonds of the pack

The six rules for the dog on a leash, in order of importance:
Do not swing behind me
Stay out of my way
Do not pull on me
Do not bite the leash
No playing while on the leash
No barking while on the leash

The three C's of leash:
Communication
Correction
Control

The three elements of a dog walk:
Physical
Emotional
Mental

Every dog needs a minimum of one hour of walking per day
to stay calm, caring, confident, and cooperative

The ideal mix is half on the leash, half off (in a reasonably safe area)

Campers wear both a collar and harness, with tags, when on the walk

Doug walks Iris, Daisy, Ed, Rio, Coty and Sophia
